Strawberry milk shake is so refreshing especially during the summer season when fresh strawberries are in abundance. Adding a scoop or two of ice cream enhances the flavor and makes the milkshake thick and creamy.
Everyone loves to make the most of fresh summer fruits and we are no exception. Those who do not like to eat fresh fruits in its natural form can convert them into ice creams, sorbets, sherbets, juices and milkshakes.
Children get easily attracted to the color of strawberries and love them just because it imparts a beautiful baby pink color to ice cream and milkshake which makes it irresistible. It is good to include a milk shake as a part of your breakfast to help you sail through your day especially if you are looking forward to a very busy schedule.
We are enjoying strawberries almost every day as Pune has an abundance of this gorgeous and elegant fruit. Enjoy summer with strawberries and include it in your diet in whichever way you wish but I’m sure Fresh Strawberry Milkshake is the perfect refreshing summer drink which can be made in a jiffy while the fruit is in season!
- ½ litre chilled Milk
- 10-12 fresh Strawberries (hulled, destemed & chopped)
- 1 tsp. Strawberry/Vanilla Essence (optional)
- Sugar to taste
- 2 large scoops of Vanilla/Strawberry Ice Cream (optional)
- 8-10 cubes Ice (optional)
Blend strawberries and sugar in a blender to a smooth puree.
Add ice, milk, sugar, ice cream, essence and blend till creamy, frothy & smooth.
Pour in tall chilled glasses.
Garnish with fresh whole strawberries and serve immediately.
The above quantity will give you approximately three tall glasses… it all depends on the size of the glass you use!
