Mosaic Jelly

3

This jelly is also known as Stained Glass Jelly, Broken Glass Jelly or Jewel Jelly but I call it Mosaic Jelly because it just reminds me of mosaic tiles!

This jelly is so pretty & attractive. Above all, it is so simple, quick & fun. The colors are so vibrant that you just can’t help but keep admiring it for a long time before you eat it!  It is also a great fun activity for children during their vacations & a perfect festive treat too.

It is a great dessert not only to serve at a child’s party but a very light dessert to be served & relished at any party or enjoy after your meal. You can select flavors & colors to represent a theme. This jelly is loved by kids as well as adults. You can even create jelly shots for adult parties.

I am happy to share this beautiful jelly recipe with you & I’m sure you will love to make this wonderful dessert… 😀

Ingredients :

  • 4 boxes (3 oz. each) Jell-O
  • 1 can sweetened Condensed Milk (Nestle)
  • 2 tbsps. unflavored Gelatin
  • 4 ½  cups boiling Water
  • ½ cup cold Water

Procedure :
For each flavor, dissolve one box of Jell-O in one cup of boiling water; stir thoroughly & pour in containers.

Chill the jelly for about 3 hrs. or preferably overnight.

After chilling the four flavors cut the set & firm jelly into cubes, rectangular blocks or any desired shape.

Carefully mix the cubes/blocks in a 9×13 dish.

In a separate bowl, sprinkle 2 tbsps. of unflavored gelatin & pour ½ cup of cold water over it.

After the gelatin blooms, add in ½ cup of boiling water & dissolve completely.

To this, add in the sweetened condensed milk.

Give it a good stir & let it cool.

Pour the cooled condensed milk mixture over the mixed jelly cubes/blocks & chill overnight.

Cut into blocks or desired shapes & serve.

  2. The Jello Brand has it. For blue they have a Berry Blue flavor, and green is either lime and sometimes they have a green in apple flavor. I can't wait to try this, and will add raisins, chopped dates, and some nuts as they do in Mexico. Thanks for the easy recipe!!
